“Everything Comes To The Surface At One Point:” A TDQ Q&A With Model And Actress Amelia Charme, Part 2

Amelia Charme

Amelia Charme

TDQ: What have you found is the biggest misconception people outside of modeling have about you and the industry?

Charme: That modeling is easy. People don’t understand that there are mental and physical skills that must be developed to excel in modeling. Not every pretty face or nice body can do it. You have to be mentally strong to accept rejection and confident in yourself to be around other beautiful women. You also have to be physically capable. You need to know what your body looks like in different positions and be able to remember it, execute it and make sure your face doesn’t show you’re concentrating or thinking about it.

TDQ: What’s been the most surprising thing you’ve learned about a career in modeling?

Charme: I learned that this industry is the king of scams. There is always someone that is trying to get a few bucks out of you or some perv trying to get in your pants. Everything that you do has to be done with caution and consideration, especially when you are first starting out.

TDQ: Where do you see yourself in five years?

Charme: I see myself in a major film. Like a Tyler Perry movie. In five years I will be at the end of my modeling prime, so I hope that acting will be completely dominant at that time. Continue reading

When Network Anchors Fall In The Woods, Do They Make A Sound?

Anchor Swap

Anchor Swap is not a new FOX series but, rather, the result of a bet between two network executives.

New York—If you tuned in last night to watch the “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” or “ABC World News with Diane Sawyer,” you might have thought you were on the wrong channel. Or, more likely than not, you might not have noticed anything at all.

National nightly news anchors Diane Sawyer and Brian Williams switched networks last night, but polls conducted today showed that, remarkably, only 12% of the viewing public noticed.

Sawyer and Williams, who agreed to the switch only after being assured their pay would not reflect a personal day off, used the regular reporting staff of the respective network. Some reports have said that some of the field reporters didn’t notice the change, either. ABC News correspondent David Kerley called Williams “Diane” three times on camera last night.

Producers for both programs confirmed the one-time switch, explaining that Robert Iger, the CEO of Disney, who owns ABC, won a bet with the CEO of NBC, Steve Burke, and had to switch news anchors for a day, “as a goof.”

Illuminati “A Bit Miffed” That Nate Silver Is Getting All This Election Credit, When All He Did Was Copy And Publicize Their Numbers

A secret lair, possibly in the Rocky Mountains—With all the buzz that statistician Nate Silver has been getting lately over his correct predictions of the presidential election, some members of the Illuminati have confirmed they are unhappy that Silver is being portrayed as some number-crunching whiz kid, when everybody knows the numbers simply played out the way the Illuminati wanted them to.

A highly-placed source within the organization, who spoke to TDQ under the threat of torture and death if his/her identity is revealed, said Silver simply was given some sensitive information and regurgitated it to the naïve masses like the outcome of the election wasn’t already written in stone by the people who actually run the world.

“Somebody blabbed when they shouldn’t have and they’ll be dealt with accordingly,” the source said. “Was that somebody a high-ranking military member currently engulfed in a torrid sex scandal and potentially looking at treason charges? Who knows? Or could that person be a teenage Canadian pop star who just broke up with his Disney star girlfriend? Maybe, maybe not.”

Harrison Ford Curses At, Hangs Up On Reporter Who Called Him For A “Where Are They Now” TV Segment

Harrison Ford, IMDB

We are going to have to side with Australian reporter Ollie Wilcher on this one. We looked up Harrison Ford on IMDB and we don’t recognize any of his films.

Los Angeles—With the recent news about “Star Wars” creator George Lucas selling his empire to the Disney company a few weeks ago, interest in the sci-fi mega-franchise once again peaked within the media, and some foreign television news agencies thought it would be a good idea to do a “Where are they Now?” segment on the franchise’s stars.

But when Ollie Wilcher, a TV reporter from Bisbane, Australia got on the phone with Han Solo himself, Harrison Ford, to interview him about his life and career after “Star Wars,” Ford, known to be a bit prickly with the press anyway, was rather miffed that the reporter didn’t know about Ford’s turn as Indiana Jones or his roles in “Witness” or “The Fugitive.”

“I’m not sure what’s more pathetic,” Ford was recorded as saying to the reporter. “That you yourself haven’t heard of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ or ‘Witness,’ or that you’re too lazy to do some research. They do have the internet in Australia, don’t they? You have access to this IMDB thing I’ve read about? Maybe Google ‘Harrison Ford’ before you get on the phone with me? Jackass.” Continue reading
