Skip-Bo tournament violence leaves the championship up in the air.

Nashville,TN—A Tennessee prosecutor said yesterday he will consider criminal charges in the aftermath of a brawl that erupted at the end of the regional “Skip-Bo” Championship last Saturday afternoon in the conference center of the Nashville Marriott.

Davidson County prosecutor Chester Detmer said in a statement that his office would determine if criminal charges were appropriate. He declined further comment.

Palm Harbor, FL—Cheetah, the chimpanzee who could possibly have starred in several “Tarzan” movies in the 1930s with Johnny Weissmuller, died of kidney failure Christmas Eve. He was 80. Maybe.

Sometime around 1960, Cheetah came to the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary from Weissmuller’s estate in Ocala, a spokeswoman for the sanctuary said.

Most chimpanzees live to be about 40 or 45 in zoos, according to experts in that type of thing.

Los Angeles—With Swedish carmaker Saab filing for bankruptcy, many suitors are coming out of the woodworks vying to buy the struggling company, and Greg McLemore, who founded pets.com, some website that lasted like a year like a decade ago, is at the top of the list.

“I don’t really remember what exactly pets.com was, but I remember they had a clever little dog puppet or something,” said business analyst Trevor Watson of Moore-Dearing Investments. “I have no doubt that that little dog could breathe new life into Saab. I’m excited for the new direction Saab will go in with McLemore at the helm.”

Burbank, CA—In a deal nearly five years in the making, cartoon production company giant Hanna-Barbera announced yesterday that they had finally reached an agreement to produce seven 13-episode seasons telling the entire saga of “Harry Potter.”

“We’re thrilled,” said Zeke Barbera, spokesman for the studio. “We’re very excited that this deal was finally struck after a lot of hard work by a lot of people. We can’t wait to start drawing and casting voices.”
