George Lucas Admits Jar Jar Binks Was His Favorite “Star Wars” Character; Doesn’t Really Get All The Love For Boba Fett

Red Tails

The scene at a Red Tails press conference turned Lucas-Con moments after Lucas stormed off.

New York—Despite being in town for a press junket to promote his upcoming Tuskegee Airmen film, “Red Tails” starring Cuba Gooding, Jr., filmmaking icon George Lucas was asked endlessly about his other films, particularly the six “Star Wars” movies. So after the seventh or eighth question about Princess Leia talking about memories of her mother in “Return of the Jedi” despite her mother dying during childbirth at the end of “Revenge of the Sith,” Lucas apparently had finally had enough of trying to talk about his future World War II film and let loose. The Kid Stays In The Picture: A TDQ Q&A With Filmmaker Bryan Smith Of “8th Avenue Studios,” Part 2

The Fire Project, 8th Avenue Studios

The Fire Project, 8th Avenue Studios

Here is Part 2 of our TDQ Q&A with filmmaker Bryan Smith:

Read Part 1

TDQ: Apart from the lack of a hundred million dollars or so from a huge studio, what’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced with “The Fire Project” so far?

Smith: Honestly the biggest challenge with this, or any micro-budget project for that matter, is getting people to take you seriously. Unfortunately, without a multi-million dollar budget, a lot of folks think you’re just “jerking around with a camera.” Luckily, I have a great crew, a supportive family and friends who are willing to act for free. Oh yeah, and trying to manage a shoot schedule with a full time job and two kids under age five makes it tough, too. Continue reading

Cor Blimey! Royal Wedding Only Happening Because Of Computer Hacker’s Error

William Prince, Kate Middleton, Prince William

Was it Prince William's charm and good looks that make Kate forget about William Prince? We don't think so.

London—For years rumors have persisted about just exactly how Kate Middleton and Prince William met as students at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. And now a source close to the couple, “but who ain’t in the wedding, can you believe it?” has come forward under the condition of anonymity and is confirming that Kate hacked her way into meeting Prince William. But His Highness wasn’t exactly her intended target.

“She had a friend hack into the school’s database, yeah?” said the source. “And he was supposed to put her into a particular class. Only thing is, she was trying to get into a class with a bloke named William Prince, and her friend didn’t know the names weren’t put into the school’s system last-name-first. So he thinks he’s got her into class with this William Prince chap, only she ain’t, yeah? She’s now into class with Prince William. Ha!” Continue reading

Patrick Rafter's 2011 tennis court designs bring some unique choices to the table.

Sydney, Australia—Two-time U.S. Open winner Patrick Rafter, who retired from professional tennis in 2001, has announced that he recently founded “Game, Set, Rafter,” a company that will design and construct tennis courts. He is quoted in the press release as saying he thinks “this is an idea who’s (sic) time has come, and he’s shocked to learn that no other former tennis great has opened a company like this before now.”

Rafter said he learned from an attorney for fellow-Australian and golf legend Greg Norman how much money Norman makes with his golf-course design company, “and knew I had to jump into this wide-open business arena.” Continue reading

TDQ Investigates: Dinosaurs. Blowing The Lid Right The Hell Off

Prophetic Scroll?

The following "ancient" scroll, copyright 1990 NEA Inc, and reprinted in late 1997 presents strong evidence of the claim.

For some reason, for years now, scientists have been wasting their time trying to figure out what killed the dinosaurs. The general consensus among those experts and amateurs researching, studying, examining and digging was that they lived on Earth for about 160 million years, and then something killed them. But what? Was it an asteroid? Was it an Ice Age? Was it Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum?

No, no and no. The fact is, dinosaurs never lived here on Earth. They died here on Earth. They actually lived on what was at the time the planet in our solar system between Mars and Jupiter. Today, there is an asteroid belt between the planets, but that’s because those giant hunks of rock are all that remains of the dinosaur’s home world. Continue reading
